If you would like a video lesson, you can use a digital video camera, or a video cell phone to record the desired movement. Don't worry; you don't have to be a great videographer. Just record the desired movement as follows: BATTING: - Record the shots that you would like analysed from the front on.
- Locate yourself behind a net or get an individual to standby to protect against any cricket balls being struck in your direction.
- A normal Wattacoach lesson would like to use about five different types
of cricketing shots for analysis in the lesson. - It is recommended that in the video file that you upload, the cricketer has performed each cricketing shot 2 to 3 times (5 different cricketing shots multiplied by 3 different attempts at each type of stroke equals 15 cricketing shots in the video file).
BOWLING - First record the bowler chest on from the side. Try to include the bound, delivery and first few steps of the follow through.
- Next record the bowler from the front. Position yourself behind a net or
over the shoulder of the wicketkeeper. - Record the action a few times and try a few delivery variations if you like.
The video file being sent in for analysis can be up 30MB in size. Once you login you will receive further instructions on how to obtain your video lesson. It's important to note that the elite coach who you send your footage to, will view your footage and provide recommendations to a qualified coach, who will use those recommendations when constructing your video lesson.
